Rep Power: 389 VAFC II problem has been solved!!!!
As some of you know, I had a problem with my CEL and not being able to rev over 4000 RPM.
With the help from BLCKOUT's friend(Chris), the problem has been solved.
Your VTEC engagement setting has to be within 200rpm of it's cutoff.
Example
L+H = 5200
H+L = 5000 or 5100
If the difference is greater than 200 then the ECU thinks that something is wrong.

Rep Power: 0 The new VAFC II has a new vtec passive feature that allows the ECU to decide when the vtec output engagement to turn on...The guy that tuned my car said that this is the best setting because it builds power through the whole power band...Currently the VAFC vtec engages when the stock vtec engages around 2500-3000rpm...Although you can't feel the "jolt" when setting it high, the car seems to pull alot harder even with the problem that I'm having with the KMS manifold
The first VAFC didn't have this feature so you had to settle for setting the engagement higher , which really dosen't help our cars due to the new vtec engagement coming on so low in the RPM range..

Rep Power: 0 Cool, glad this has been solved, changed my engagement to 5400 too. Yup, pulls more, but smoothly w/ a slight kick. Nice though! I'm not sure, but please correct me if I'm wrong... Couldn't we somehow use the VTEC Unmatch feature on the V-AFC II to allow us to use a wider VTEC engagement range? I thought I read in the manual, that you use this feature when you change VTEC engagement from stock settings in order to adjust fuel delivery, since the ECU doesn't see the change and still sends extra fuel at the old setting. I was gonna play around with this, until I saw your thread Fly. Thanks for finding a fix so quickly FLy Kinda sucked when I installed my V-AFC II last Friday only to find my cel coming on the next day.

Rep Power: 0 Dude, there is alot more than just a couple of settings to the new VAFC...It has alot more tuning features than the first one...You really need to have it dyno tuned....I'm not trying to be an ***, but I couldn't begin to tell you what the settings are...As for the diagram: I think it's H-8..Is that right Fly?

Rep Power: 0 Why not, they're all stored on the V-AFC II. Couldn't you just PM me and R3DL1N3 them anyways. You don't have to explain them just list them out. How about you Fly, would you be Ok with PM'ing me and R3DL1N3 your V-AFC II settings, thanks. I don't care if our setups are different, just want a baseline to work from.

Rep Power: 0 You should wait until I put my stock manifold backon and have it tuned so it would be closer to your setup...I'll see if i can get it to you guys as soon as i can

Rep Power: 389 You're a better man than me cwick, if I paid the money you were paying for tuning, I would keep those numbers to myself.

Rep Power: 0 Wow, awesome...i know LX dosent have VTEC, but...i've heard you can still use the VAFC II but not plug in the vtec wires and use those setting? This true? Would i benefit from it, or is it a waste of money?
