Rep Power: 0 Auto to Manual Conversion question
I kno I kno ... alot of people have been telling me.. .why bother? its too expensive ... bla bla bla ..I DONT CARE....I love my car and I want to change it to manual, I dont wanna trade it in for another...
SO I have a 2002 Honda Civic LX Automatic....and I found a place who will do the work, but problem is.. I want to find a good transmission to put in.. Does anyone know a site or place in Newjersey that gives good deals? or anyone have a good transmission that would be a good idea to put in ?
Thanks Again
Jon

Or you can look ina honda junk yard. Im sure that the people didnt f@%k up their transmission in a year or so. Try honda, but you will pay a little more. Its new and its honda, might even come with a warrenty.

Rep Power: 0 As long as your set on the idea of getting it manual more power to you as long as you know the efforts involved, but yeah go to a junk yard and find a trans thats hopefully still hooked up and see if you can run it through the gears a bit and see if it still can shift (obviously without the car running) and youll have found yourself a decent trans plus you can always have it rebuilt with some performance stuff if you want and it would be a good time to do it while its out. Junkyard is the way to go. I know theres a buntch in NJ not surethe names though good luck make sure to post pics when your done
