Need some help from alarm PRO!
Need some help from alarm PRO!
I have an Alpine alarm which I decided to hook up with the power folding mirrors. Can someone tell me which wire from the power folding mirrors should I wire to the alarm? I believe it's the 12V wire but I just need to confirm. Second question is that which wire/wires from the Alpine alarm do I connect to in order to make it fold in when armed and fold out when disarmed? Please! Any help would be appreciated, and if you have a wiring diagram for the Alpine alarm please send me a scan if possible since I lost mine... Thanks in advance!
Thanks but I know pretty much about my alarm system, at least I wouldn't screw it up.=) I just need to know which wire/wires to connect to and which wire/wires need to be connected. I did some research from www.jdmcivic.com and someone mentioned this.
"If you want to activate your mirrors with your alarm. You need to have the jdm relay box and the jdm switch. The relay box will do but you have to make a latching relay composed of 2 SPDT relays to mimic the reversing polarity to make the mirrors power fold. Your OEM keyless and aftermarket alarm system's arm/disarm signal is negative while the mirrors are positive. This latching relay will reverse the alarm's signal to positive activating the power fold mechanism."
Maybe any of you can figure out something for me regarding to this quote? Most people do it for $150-$250 but I just want to save as much as I can especially when I only need to know about one last step... Thanks a lot.
