I got my NGK iridiums for only $28 and they're the same material. I felt a bit of difference, but my old plugs were toasted after 18K miles.

50 bucks? That sounds a little crazy for spark plugs IMO. I thought the Bosch +4 (4 electrodes) was already expensive at 5 dollars a piece.

Bosch Platinum +4s... $24 well spent... or maybe it was cuz after 27K my stock ones were so fried I could actually feel a difference.

Everyone I know that races (me included) uses plain jane autolites, NGK or equivalent. Plugs are a great way to waste money. You won't feel the difference with a plug unless your old ones are shot. Upgrading plugs is like running 91 octane in our cars. It'll impress your friends, but not help you down the 1/4.

Dude..I had some Bosch put into mine...they're just "ok"..actually they're kinda slow compared to the stock ones.. the idle is rougher than the "stock" spark plugs..but after I put in my old stock ones back in..I could tell a difference..car was a lot smoother and acceleration was a lil better too.(NGK's)

Bosch is terrible. The stock plugs are double platinum, which last longer than iridiums. NGK is probably the best replacement plug.

Bosch is great ive never had any complaints with any of there products, the Boschplatinum +4's are kinda a waste as electricity will only go to the shortest point so your only really using one maybe two of the electrodes at best get the +2's there my favorite

The iridium, twin-spark, etc. plugs are a great marketing ploy to get more money from you. My MR2 that I autocross only has the basic (one degree colder) NGK plugs. They work great. Don't waste your money.

the +2 and +4 thing is just out to get your money... electricity travels the shortest path so its only going to go through 1 of the multiple paths it has... then after that path wears out, it will travel the other path, etc... the only good thing about those is that they last longer...

you guys may have felt a difference because your old ones were worn out... making a comparison between 2 kinds of brand new spark plugs is fair... its not fair when comparing worn plugs to new ones...

its like comparing a dirty CAI to a clean stock intake, of course you will feel more gains on the stock one... because its clean...

even if the path is shorter, it wont make a difference here. electricty actually travels pretty slow compared to sound or light, but speed duznt matter for small distances because its basicaly instant cuz if the first electron moves 1 inch, then all the others get pushed forward an inch as well. like if u had 20 rolls of toilet paper all lined up to roll, when u push the first one the others move with it.
