Stripped Header Bolt
Please someone help me. I have stripped the bolt near the alternator trying to remove the stock header. There is still a little bit of thread left so I might be able to do something about it. If anyone knows any thing I can do or buy that will loosen this bolt please help.
were u using a 12 point socket, i did that too without thinking and it stripped a bolt, so i took a 6 point socket to it and it came right off. you can try some wd-40 or antiseize stuff and use a torque wrench, hope this helps.

Thats discuraging... So far I have tried Liqiud Wrench (the strongest formula) and I bought some sockets for stripped bolts but they are too large to fit in that small area. I was using a 6 point socket so that won't help. Any one else have this problem? I was thinking about taking it to a a professional mechanic. I there anything that he could do?

What type of vise grips? How did you get them to fit in that small space? I have tried vise grips but have not had any sucess. Did you use any kind of special technique?

Problem resolved. I took the car over to a mechanic while I was at work they heated up the bolt and played with it for about an hour and it finally came loose. Thank God. The Ceramic coated Kamikaze header is great, pulls harder past 4000rpm plus it looks hot.
