This isnt about my civic, but may as well be. We are getting ready to sell a '03 Saab 900S, and just got the trunk dents hammered out. This included a dent that popped off the "900" badge, but we still have it. I've heard that 3M double sided tape works well, but the problem is that there is no back. Its just the 900 numbers, as in the inside of the 0's has nothing in them; you see right to the car. So what can I use to re-attach this that will not be visible after I put it on? THanks.
I think this is a double post as I just responded to ur question, but 3M Trim Adhesive works great, it's used on most car emblems from factory as I see it, as for ur "0"s, u can cut the adhesive accordingly so it fits just the border of the "0", don't need to cover the whole number to make it stick as those things are hard to get off once on ( like stock emblem adhesives)

hehe. I have no clue who she is, but does it really matter? I guess I'll use 3M tape; it seems to be the general consensus that it is the best stuff out there. Cutting it shouldn't be too hard; i don't need to cover every square millimeter of the emblem anyways, right?
Hmm i don't know if the 3M he's talking about is the same one I'm talking about, the one I'm talking about is about quarter thickness sooo... and no u don't need to cover every square millimeter if u use mine (as I don't know which 3M he's talking about) but anywho, u can find mine at Pep Boys

i got some 3M tape at Advance Auto. It had green plaid backing and said "bonding tape", and was about a quarter of an inch wide. The only problem is...the emblem sticks out now! The tape is pretty thick, and the emblem is sitting about the tape's thickness away from the car. Is there any way to fix this? Im thinkin about going back and getting that toothpase-tube stuff that someone suggested in another thread. Civicmorph, how did you get yours flush with the car?

i just bought some 3M brand decal, trim, and blah de blah adhesive. Its in a tube and is advertized primarily for exterior use in putting trim pieces and decals back on your car. Perfect! I hope this works.

UMMM... u can go to michaels arts & crafts.... and buy their 3M adhesive spray... it comes in a spray can... and u can spray it on the back of your emblem... and then stick it on.... there ya go.... i am a genius... lol
jwalker87 I have the same "problem" but I don't consider it a problem, I kinda like that "stick out" affect...looks more 3Dish if u ask me...but if u hate it then go with what gangsta said...here's a pic of mine

no, i used the gell stuff. THe only spray I could find was for interior only. With the gell, you just have to be sure you don't put too much on, or it will squoosh out. Spray would have been ideal, but I couldn't find any....

Go to Pep Boys, Auto Zone, or somewhere like that. Get 3M emblem glue. It is not tape it is glue. It doesn't hurt paint either.
