I said $40 cause the heat gun was $25 and the LEDs are like $4 a piece and a pack of resistors was like $3 I think then I bought a small box of conncetors and crimps for $9.

I would seriously do it if you wanted to, PM me or hit me up on AIM if you want to discuss shipping costs and such. I really wouldnt charge you a ton for my labor, lol. Maybe like at most $50 but we can discuss it depending on the shipping costs, I dont wanna rip you off if your paying out the *** for those.

P.S.- Ill be posting the DIY tonight, most likely later though but it will be up before I go to the movies to see Matrix 3.

Ok, update: I did this over the weekend. I'm still gobbing on the silicone, as they were leaking beforehand. I'm spazzing out on the glue so that they don't fog up anymore.

but, bottom line: my LEDs already had a resistor and inline reducer (can't remember the name of the component), so I measured the volts on both sides of the resistor, and it was already reducing it to 3.4V, so my 3.6V LEDs plugged in without me having to change the resistors!!!

That said, the hardest part of this all was having the patience with the heat gun to seperate the lights hehehe

the LEDs swapped with no troubles at all!

I've gotta say, after this weekend I have a whole new respect for heat guns hehehe

they're SWEET!

oh yeah, and the blue LEDs look uber-pimp! it's insane how much it changed the look from the non-functioning halo's to the blue ones
