So far civicvtecps told me that his SI sidemarkers are dual filament. Only thing is they're amber. All other bulbs I've seen only come single like the parking lights. Oh well.

Okay I really need to know how to make the sidemarkers stay on with the parking lights AND blink with the turn signals.
red wire-only stays on.
green wire-only blinks.
Anyone have an idea how this can be done? The markers only come with a single filament 194 bulb, and I'm pretty sure they don't make dual filament 194 bulbs. Help?

Nice job gearbox. Good thing you got the metal nibblers. They make the DIY so much easier.
Let me know if you set up the way to keep the side marker on and blink while turning as well. I've heard you need the dual filament bulbs as well, but really havent been able to find any.

Thanks for clearing that up. So I guess there's no way to have them do both if it's just a single filament bulb. What if you tap the green AND red wires? Will it mess up the electrical stuff?

Yes that would cause a problem and you would be blowing fuses; side marker lights are designed for turn signals only. They help a lot in traffic when you're trying to change lanes because people that are right next to you can see you're trying to change lanes. And if they're not a a-hole they'll let you in the lane.

Okay everyone GREAT NEWS!! I finally found something that explained the wire combination we've all been wanting.
Now so far we know that tapping into the red wire causes them to only stay on, whereas tapping the green wire makes them only blink. Well, there's a way you can do both! Thanks to this website for showing me how:
http://lighting.mbz.org/tech/markerf...rkerflash.html
Basically you have two wires coming out of each sidemarker. You need to tap one into the red wire, and the second into the green wire. That's it! When one wire is sending power, the other one acts as a ground.
Now here's the different part. After doing this you will have the following happen:
1) When only parking lights are on, the sidemarkers will stay on.
2) When the turn signal is used and the parking lights are OFF, the sidemarkers will blink in sequence with the turn signal (at same time).
3) When parking lights are on AND turn signal is used, the sidemarkers will blink out of sequence with the turn signal.
I tried this and it works! Man I'm so happy about this. Well I hope you guys are as excited as I am.
I'll be posting more pics later tonight...

Here is the finished product. The only thing I regret is getting APC markers. They're already leaking when it rains, since the cover just snaps on. You have to take the cover off to change the bulb, so I can't seal it. Oh and the bulbs are just clear OEM 194s. They match the front parking lights (also just clear). Here it is:
i did mine a while back, i dont remeber how i did the wiring, but i remeber there were 3 wires, one so 3 diffrent combinations o could wire the marker, one makes it flash in sequence, one in opposite sequence, and the third was the same as gearbox. i wired mine as to flash in sequence, mine are orange, so staying on would look that great

I'll check on them in a few weeks to see what's happening. I put touchup paint, but it may have scraped off when I put the markers in.
