Alright i first started to hear this sound after i installed my cam gear and pulleys.but only when i am driving at lower speeds. at first i asked soem people and they said it could be the bearing for the cam shaft or something with that nature. so it kept on happening, well i had it in at honda and i brought it up, so they took it for a test drive. Well they came back and said that it was the intake and it was hitting the hood. well i know for a fact that that is not it. cause if you know what a metal to metal sound is, its a loud bang. and its coming from a different area. it sounds like its coming from the center consol area and its a quiet knocking sound, like something is spinning. so i think it could possibly be the trans mission or something to do with that.

if u think u might know please give me ur input or if this has happened to u and know found out what it is. thanks alot

I dont know if this is relavant but I've got a weird mechanical/spinning sound coming from the general console/tranny area. Honda said thats my transmission bearings going bad.The guy that drove it also claimed that for now its fine, but once it starts getting worse it would cost me around $800 to get it all fixed.

you really didn't tell us what the "sound" sounds like. is it a banging sound, vibrating sound, a squeaking sound...what??

dont be surprised to find out that it is ur intake hitting ur hood. cuz i noticed when i first put mine it, i heard slight clanging and came to find out that my intake is hittin my hood, so i just pushed it down a lil more, problem is gone

it sounds like a really faint vibrating sound. but like i said its has only been doing this after i installed the cam gear and pulleys. so i hope that helps you out on the sound.

oh any my intake is all the way down, what brand intake do u have? i have and injen and i really dislike it.

double check your intake they are notorious for tapping the hood. also I would take it to a local speedshop type place instead of honda because they have told me the wrong info multiple times.
