laptop into the ecu?
its doable...derek ceo has one...it isn't really a laptop, its a carputer...u have to use a laptop HD, mobo, ram, and a custom LCD screen. That's just some insight, u have to figure the details by urself.

no i really am not a fan of that but i do know that fuel pressure is a big deal and if i could tap into that and change it manually i could moniter it for education and help to other members because i have to computer resources to do it

I think this is what you are looking for.
In addition to this I think you will also require an EPROM flasher.

They have a sample download of the app here:

One, you cannot change the fuel pressure. That is determined by the fuel pressure regulator in the tank.
Even with a programmable ECU, you could change the fuel map and the ignition timing. Change the timing too much and bad things happen. Change the fuel map to too lean, even badder things happen. Too rich, then you are wasting fuel and destroying your cat.
TUNING a car requires skill, a dyno, and is based on the exact CAR you are tuning. Base maps are available to start, but would not be optimum. Heck, you could tune a stock Civic to run on PREMIUM gas and advance the timing a bit, change the fuel curve, and it would have more horsepower. But that change would be small compared to the cost of an ECU and the tuning time.
What you would most likely learn is how fast you can destroy a perfectly good motor. No offense, but if you are asking how, then you do not possess the skills to really go in and start chaning things just to see.
