Glasspack as a resonator?
How do you think a glasspack will work as a resonator?
The guy at the muffler shop desk said I may be able to use a glasspack muffler as a resonator.

After this if i still dont like it, im thinkin invidia catback...

lol, that diagram has the word "nipples" on it...
sure why the hell not? as long as you dont weld it on,or crimp the ends on really tight, because these things DO go bad after a while when the fiberglass burns out, you should be just fine

A Regular resonator is basicly the same price and will last longer than the glass pack (cherry bombs) i dont recommend it. I looked at both when i was in that situation and went with the regular resonator...had it welded in 60 bux total to cut the stainless and weld in the resi. good luck.

yup, like 'phatcyclist' said, the glasspack will go bad after a while, so you'll need to replace it or get it repacked. if i understand correctly, glasspack is pretty outdated. not much people use it anymore. i dont know if theres any truth to that tho...

hmm i didn't know that. Why doesn't that damn muffler shop just tell me to get a REGULAR resonator! i have a feeling they just dont carry them. Ill have to find another shop
"Meineke and Midas" will tell you to get glass packs because they dont carry universal resonators...I went to lou's custom exhaust (he's got a website) they are AWESOME! custom everything, and it was only 60 bux to cut and weld in a new resonator...prefect application for what i needed, plus he fixed a few welds i needed touched up for free... Hella good service..but that's in brockton MA...
Good luck.
Good luck.
