HELP: Need help, problem with car
I have an 03 civic coupe EX. As of today i went down and when i started my car, the RPM's went up and right down to 0 and cut the car off. I started it back up and it was ideling low, around 700-900. Im not sure if that was normal but i thought it ideled around 1k. Also I drove around and when i hit the intersection my car killed due to the RPM's. I started it up again and it hasnt cut off since. The RPM's seem to idel low. Can someone let me know something. I might stop by the honda dealer if i cant figure anything out, but hopefully yall can help me out. Also will the dealer charge me to take a look at my car if?

Menikie has free brake inspections. As far as it cutting off, take it to Honda and tell them to look at it. It could be something simple that they could fix in 10 minutes, or it could be something that could disable your car later down the road.

most dealerships will charge to look at brakes since they are really only covered under a 1-3 month warranty and are normal wear and tear parts, but it all depends on what is causing it to cut off, it might be a worn out part, honda usually charges to look at your car, but if you get work done their, they take off the charge to look at your car.
