I'm guessing you are trying to get your D17 to look like the top of a D16. In that case you would need to lengthen all of the ignition wires and move the whole assembly.Even after doing all that it still wouldn't look as clean as you probably want it since the coils stick up so high.

you can buy up-graded coil-packs. distrubitor is a DOWN-GRADE!! that's why they got rid of it!! your coil packs work better than a distrubtor with MSD.....plus the fact that it is less mantainance....
no i don't think you can do it anyway, there is no place to mount the distrubitor shaft...

It can be done and has been done. It is a downgrade, but if he is willing to sacrifice it for looks then go ahead. I really don't think it will ever be as clean as you want it to be unless you can find a way to do wireless ignition! That would be badassed!!
