Question removing stock intake box?

OK, I bought this $75 intake off ebay, and am about to install it, only there's one problem: I can't get the bottom of the intake box off. I took off my resonator and the top of the box (took out the filter). I am now looking down into my throttle body, but the plastic peice won't budge. I removed two screws between the box and the engine block, but I can't see any others. Where are the other screws I need to take out? Thanks.

I'm at work so I can't show you any pics...they are there...look around..the hardest part about putting in my CAI was finding the screws holding the stock box on. If you still don;t have it by the time I get home I'll snap some pics with the digicam. Good luck.

i wont be able to try again until tomorrow...maybe saturday. Im studying hard core for a history test, and was just trying to install it during a break (call me stupid), so I'll have to wait until tomorrow, but I'm babysitting so I don't know. Anyways, please take some pictures if you can, but if not then could you try to describe where they are? Thanks.

I'll take pics when I get home. The screw is up and almost under in the back (I think..I'm not looking at my car and trying to go from memory) Like Shawn and me both said...it's there...just isn't very easy to see....it took me a while to find it as well.

but the DIY just says "remove all the screws"....where are they? Also, it felt like the problem was with the throttle body....is the plastic piece somehow clamped to the throttle body? That's kinda what it felt like.

also, did it suprise anyone else how tiny our throttle body is? That thing's like the diameter of a baseball.

Jwalker, there is a screw on the right-hand side of the throttle body. It is pointing inward so yo uneed to unscrew it from the side. It's a #2 or #3 phillips, that and four 10mm bolts, and the o2 sensor. It'll pop right off after that.

BTW that stubborn screw is below the air filter box itself if that saves you any time.

alright, I'm going to try again this afternoon; I think I see that little screw, but it'll probably be easier with the top of the filter box off. Did you say 4 10mm bolts? I can only find 2.

The little bastard screw is one holding a hose clamp that holds the box on tight to the TB. If you have never pulled the airbox off before it will be tight as hell, but you should be able to loosen it a little and give it a good yank to get it free.

Yeah loosen that screw quit a bit. And there are 2 10mm in the back of the box, 2 10mm in the front.

ok, I think i found the screw for the clamp around the TB. Is it a screw that both has a hex head and philips head? With the head to the left side of the car (looking forward)? Thats what im unscrewing. I still cannot find any bolts on the back. Are the going down, back, forward, what?

ok nevermind, i got it. I was doing the right screw, and for some reason there were only 2 10mm bolts connecting the filter box. OH well. The holes on the front of the $75 ebay intake dont really do anything, but hey, it was $75, so im not complaining. I'll just use duct tape or something

ok, i got it all installed. The intake tube has a bracket that I think is supposed to bolt to the place where the Resonator bolted, close to where it connects to the filter box. Anyway, it's nowhere near it, so I think tomorrow (after the engine cools), I'm going to take the intake off, bend that sucker down, and bolt it on. The front kind of snaps into place if I torque it just right, but the weight of the pipe pulls it left, so I need to bolt it down. Overall, I'd say a good use of $75. Anyone thinking about the ebay Racing intake, it's a pretty good deal. And if you're not happy, you can always take the carbon fiber shroud off and you have a sri!
