I have a manual with remote start and it works fine... if you have a stanard then there shouldnt be any problem, its harder to put one on a manual because you need a safety on the e-brake and on the clutch... but on a standard automatic car it will work fine....

It's actually illegal to put a remote start on a standard around here. I wanted one but when i talked to the shop they said it could be done but it's illegal. If you do have one put in like they said don't park in gear...It's an easy mistake to do with huge consequences.

I have a Clifford Alarm/Remote start on my manual trans. It only sets if I have it in nuetral. You have to put the parking brake on, car in nuetral, and hit a button on the remote. You take the key out and the car is still running. When you exit the car and shut the door, you hit another button on the remote and the car shuts off/alarm activates. Basically, there is no way to remote start your car when its in gear.
