removing the outlet help!!!

removing the outlet help!!!

Does anyone know how to remove the outlet plug. I removed the "trim piece" from the console but the plug wont budge. Any help would be appreciated? I want to remove it so i can paint that one piece

If you're referring to the 12V socket, it pulls right out. At least on the 02 it's like that.

yea the 02s pop right out... 03s are different.. i broke the tabs that hold it to the center console just to get that piece out!

Just pull HARD. Its a bitch to get out, but eventually it does come out. I think I got mine out by levering it out with 2 screwdrivers, one on each side of it.
