correct way to drive with Nitrous...
i know that u can pretty much hit that button anytime u want but what would be the correct way and gear/rpms you should be at...does it even matter beacause if ur in 2nd gear at 4500rpm isnt that gonna fly up as and rev ur car all crazy...?? im lost so help me out
Check out the nitrous post.
If you spray in first, there is no point, you'll just blow the tires off.
Spray in 2nd-4th. 5th gear is weak. Most setup's dont have a "button" they are hooked to your TPS (Throttle position sensor) so it will only spray at 100% throttle so your less likely to blow your motor. You don't want to hit your rev limiter (7200 on ex) or it will cut your fuel and you will detonate your motor. (you can get a window switch if you don't pay attention). Hope that answers your question. Good Luck

I'd spray from 2th - 4th gear from 3500rpm and above. Nothing lower.
Some people like to tap their nitrous to engage at VTEC (forgot the rpm...i think 4500rpm). By doing this, you save yourself the mess of having to hold the button (and timing).

Ok lets see...There is no point of nitrous if your not going to take it past 5k, that is where the power band is. You would only be robbing yourself the most power.
Yes you can have it hooked up to just a button, but if you spray and your not at full throttle you will detonate your motor...If you dont have adequate fuel and your throwing more air in there it will burn down.
The window switch is basicly a safety measure. It works in conjunction with the throttle switch which comes with the nitrous kit and works like this: You can set it to a RPM "Window" inside this window IF you are at 100% throttle it will spray.
SO IF you set it up to be safe at say 3500-6900RPM's then it will spray when: 1. The nitrous switch is engaged(on/off toggle) 2. you are at 100% throttle and 3. inbetween 3500 and 6900 RPM's. This will allow the system to shut itself off at 6900 and safeguarding you from hitting the rev limiter (fuel cut) and blowing your motor.
Hope that helps you out...but i suggest if you don't know much about nitrous i would read up on it before buying a system.

i spray at the top of first, but DONT REDLINE, and i spray all the way through 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. waaaaaaay too hard to flip that switch on and off while your driving, if you dont like the idea of spraying at lower or higher rpms, like they already said, get a window switch
you don't spray to spin tires. i'm saying that you have to do simething with the extra h.p. you are creating. like if you are going 110 in 5th gear and hit it, you are not going to do either. It will smash pistons. l've seen it alot. I am a nx dealer and some good friends own another shop that sells nx and nos, and we have had to deal with alot of people who think they know what they are doing and then they blow up.

So if I get nitrous, do I need to run 92 octane gas, or can I use unleaded like I have been using since I bought my car, I think it is 88 or 89 octane, I am not sure though?

I suppose you can go over 5000 rpm just fine. . I was just saying the range in which it would be very acceptable and safe.
