Ok I'm gettin ticked off here...I tried takin off my center console according to the DIY but I have a 2003 and it is different than that 2001 civics...and nothing will come off...i can't even figure out how to take off my trim piece for the cd player cuz i wanna paint it...anyone with an 03 that can help me cuz the DIY are for 2001s and my car is different than what is on the DIYs lol...I would like to know how to remove the trim piece where my cd player is...and how to remove the center console..i no longer want to remove my dash cuz i've just gave up on that idea...way too much trouble...so any help will be greatly appreciated..thanx

i dyed mine while it was in the car. looks good to me. most of my car is dyed except the door panels. pictures are under my ride

i dyed my dash while it was in the car. i took everything out besides the dash. seats,carpet, and all my other panels. i dyed all the panels and the dash in one day. pics are under my ride.

well... according to flyrice (who owns a 2003), you can just pull that center headunit panel out because it's not screwed in anywhere behind the dashboard anywhere. (but this is unproven for all 2003s)

but if you have tried to take the whole headunit out and it won't budge, then there probably are screws and and you'd have to take apart your center console to get them. To remove the 2003 center console get some tips here: http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...hlight=console

thos tips didn't help cuz I trie dpullin on one side to remove a piece from the center console and it cracked my dang piece...cuz that part by the cupholders just will not come off dangit

update: I got most of the stuff off using brute force..luckily nothin broke..and the cracked piece i fixed..however..i still can't figure out how to get that trim piece around the cd player off...anyone know how?

THERE IS TWO 8MM SREWS/BOLTS THAT HOLD THAT PIECE...REMOVE THE LOWER CUPHOLDRE COVER..AND U SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE TO SILVER SCREWS.....THE TRICKY PART ABOUT PULLING THIS CENTER PIECE OUT...IS THAT U HAVE TO FIND A PLACE WHEERE U CAN PUT YOUR HANDS WHERE U TOOK THOSE SCREWS OUT...AND PUSH IT TOWARDS U...U MIGHT HAVE MESS WITH ALITTLE BIT BUT WHATEVER U DO DONT PRY AROUND THE BEZZEL WITH A SREW DRIVER...LIKE I WAS AYING PUSH IT TOWARDS U AND YOULL SEE THE BOTTOM PIECE WILL COME OUT ALITTLE...
2. ONCE U SEE THE BEZZEL STICKING OTU ALITTLE...PUT YOUR FINGER AT THE VERY TOP OF THE BEZZEL AND SEE IF U CAN PRY ON THE TOP ALITTLE ..BUT BECAREFUL...IF NOTHIGN HAPPENS PRY LIKE ON SIDE TOP CRONERS OF THE BEZZEL..
3. THEN ONCE U GET THE BEZZEL STICKING OUT AT THE TOP U SHOULD BE ABLE TO PULL ON IT ON THE TOP AND ALSO ON THE BOTTOM... U MIGHT HAVE TO PRY ON IT ON DIFFRENTR PLACES ON THE TOP...BUT BECAREFUL NOT TO CRACK ANYTHING...
4. ONCE U GET IT OUT JUST PULL OUT THE CONNECTORS IN THE BACK OF THE BEZZEL...MAKE SURE U HAVE RADIO CODE...IF NOT MAKE SURE U WRITE DOWN THE SERIAL # ON HTE ACTUAL CD PLAYER...
