Question Water Temp gauge

ok I just got my water temp gauge and I'm trying to hook it up... is there a way to just tap into the sensor thats already there or do I need to use the provided temp sendor....? and if I do need to use the temp sender where the f*** does it go?

You need to tap the sensor into the radiator hose going INTO the engine. Thats really the only way to do it. The stock one isn't sensitive enough.

Going into? I would figure temp coming out would give a more acurate reading of actual engine temp.

EDIT: never mind, wrong gauge, I was confused.

ok... if I put the sensor in the hose is there any chance of that hose leaking... say if I just drill a small hole in, shove the sensor in and seal it off? seems a little sketchy

You need a real fitting. Don't ghetto rig your cooling system. Do it right. Probably best to let a shop that knows what they're doing set it up.
