Yet Another HID question...
I currently have H4 HID in my OEM headlamps. Though while doing some canyon driving in pitch black conditions, I really noticed the need for high beams. So now I am sure I need some TYC projectors so I can have high beams.
now my question is this...
What parts will I need to use my HID in the new TYCs? I know I'd need some H1 HID bulbs... but i am ASSUMING that is it.
Also if someone can post a pic of the back of a TYC unit, I'd appreciate it. (wondering where the highbeam bulb would get its power from cause our cars have H4 (1 wire) setups. ) I'm assuming that the OEM socket plugs into the TYC, which another H4 socket comes out and plugs into the highbeam.

Yes I'm talking the real High Intensity Discharge system where the bulbs use a special mixture of halide salts and xenon gas that create an electrical arc of intense light

If you have D2S or D2R bulbs then you will have to get the projectors (i.e. Lexus, Audi, BMW) that were made for HID that fits those bulbs in place.. And you will have to do a conversion.. take out the TYC stock projector, then (somehow) mount the other in there..
Try the catz H4 high/low. I have them and they came out great. The high beam is very useful and well focused unlike the philips based kits which just removes the shield. The catz kit moves the bulb into the high beam position where the high beam filament usually is and makes a VERY powerful high beam.

I thought it was just mine, but I guess other kits do that too.
