radiator fans wont come on
Why arent my radiator fans coming on?
I worked for 72 hours straight building my air-water intercooler setup, and when i got it all done, we went to a Dyno meet. on the way there, my car started overheating. I realized that the fans were not turning on. I noticed this when i was 120 miles from my shop. I know that the air-water intercooler has nothing to do with the overheating, nor does the turbo. I have had the turbo system for 6000 miles without any problems. Anyway, i let my car cool down, then put it on the dyno. on 6 psi it only made 184whp and 210 ft/lbs. I couldnt dyno it again because it was already overheating again. When it starts overheating, it sprays coolant out into the engine bay.
I had to drive it home that 120 miles. So the car is apart now, and i decided to upgrade the internals along with the head gasket (that looks cooked from the heat).

Could it be your CTS not working or perhaps not hooked up? If I'm correct, the CTS(coolant temp sensor) when it reaches a certain temp will throw a voltage to the ECU and tell the fans to kick on. I assume your fans are wired stock and that your thermostat and waterpump are in working order.
hey catalyst ,looks like you have the same problem i do.check your water level.i bet its almost empty.its not coming on cause the water level is so low that the sensor is not submerged in hot liquid.looks like we both have blown headgasket.
so as for me im always filling it up every long trip i make and i try not to drive it hard, thats when it usually start to shoot it out thru the resevoir.

yea, it shoots out of the reservoir. MY idle and vaccume is fine, so i assumed my headgasket was in a somewhat good state. Anyway, im changing the headgasket tomorrow. I hope thats all it is.
