What is a B-Pipe?

Ok little confused on what the b-pipe is, I've gotten 2 definitions, not sure which one is right.

1) B-pipe = mid-pipe, pipe between cat and muffler

or

2) B-pipe = pipe between cat and header

I think all cars have a B-pipe, its just a term for the pipe depending on where it is on the exhaust, except I'm not sure which pipe it is, heh

It depends on the car. It's just general lableing.
A B pipe generally is the second connection after the engine.

Example:
On the EX, it's the downpipe/cat combo. On the LX/DX, it's the whole midsection. The first connection being the header.

Also, the pillars are labled the same way from front to back:
A Pillar (Both sides of the windshield)
B Pillar (2nd pillar between front and rear windows... or front and rear doors)
C Pillar (3rd pillar on both sides of the rear window)
