Tach not lighting up!

Has anyone here had trouble with an autogage carbon fiber tach? At night when I turn on my lights the tach does not light up at all. I can see there is a light behind the gauge, but it does not show through at all.

it uses 194 bulb right? just replace with hyperwhite ones. it worked fine with my ultralite series.

why not use the tach that came with your car?
