where is the belt tensioner

where is the belt tensioner on the cam belt? Not the power steering and alt. belt. The one that actually goes around the cam gear. It has some slack in it and is making alot of noise. I need to tighten it but dont know where the tensioner is. Any help would be great.

ok first... its under the water pump about midway up the case.
Now if your tensioner is making noise and or not doing its job (making slack in belt tension)
You HAVE to replace the tensioner you can't just tighten it.
If your timing belt is loose DO NOT DRIVE YOU CAR you are risking more damage.
The tensioner is an auto tensioner, when its bad, its bad. And while you are doing that you also replace the belt. Depending on your mileage you may also want to replace the water pump.

how will I know if the timing belt is loose or needs to be replaced? I dont want to mess with it if it isn't bad. I just have a rattle that sounded like it was coming from inside there.
