How much would a VTEC head cost

How much is a VTEC head for my d17? Also, if i were to buy the K20A3 bottom and a K20A2 Top would that make a difference?

The first one isn't worth it. The whole engine is about $1200. And if you're thinking VTEC swap on an LX/DX engine, it takes a lot more than the head.

The A3 bottom end can be used with the A2 top, it's like an LS/VTEC swap... you'll need an exhaust cam solenoid line and its not gonna make as much power as an A2 because of the lower compression.
Better suggestion is just to buy the entire K20A2.
