Throttle Body Boring?
What does boring out your throttle body get ya? I mean it is fairly cheap, and theoretically it should help flow more air and get you some hp. Is it good for like 5-10?
I wish I was asian

The throttle body controls how much air enters into your engine. When you press the gas pedal this is what opens up to let the air into your engine. By enlarging the throttle body or boring it out, more air enters the engine. This gives the engine more readily available air to burn. It also gives your car a slightly louder WOT (Wide Open Throttle) growl.
This improved air flow provides an additional 5 to 10% (but on the d17, this might be a lot lower..2% perhaps?) gain in horsepower and it is felt throughout the rpm range. It will result in improved throttle response, quicker acceleration, and overall torque gains. Your car will feel more "peppy" and "livelier". Acceleration will feel the best when passing, pulling, or maneuvering in and out of traffic.
You have to be careful when boring your throttle body, if it is over-bored too much, the ***** bearings will fall out.
If you bore out your throttle body, it'd be a good idea to bore out your intake manifold opening to match the size of your throttle body.
