DIY for Revo SS

I get my revo in by at least Thursday. I know there is not a DIY for it so would people like if I did the DIY with the revo and Grey's upgrade kit and posted it up?

it is an upgrade of the cotter pins and washers to help make it stiffer. The member Grey is selling it for $6. He has it in the forsale forum, or you can pm him and ask him about it.

There is a DIY... I've seen it. Grey wrote one when he installed CapYoda's bushing kit in his sister's car. You might have to search for it, but it's not rocket science.
Unbolt the base, disconnect the cables.
Swap the bushings and reverse.
I think the torque on the base was something like 16 lb-ft.

Umm, I believe it is a good kit. I have been told it is good for just $6. And it will improve the feel of the shifter. If I am not mistaken I do not believe it will just rattle around.

without rubber bushings, it will just rattle arround!! if you cinch them down all hard, you could strip the mounting on your shifter and on the hold-down mounts, then it's tine for "good old J&B weld" to fix your new car......

this has nothing to do with the mountings, Greys kit is for the upgrading the linkage mounts not the mounts holding the whole thing down.

Grays kit will take out the slop in your shifter, you know those fractions of an inch it moves when it's in gear and the shifter wiggles a little, as well as when your shifting you'll feal it give somewhat. I wish I got his kit when I installed my short shifter. ALSO, the busings do make a difference for your shifter as well, Capyoda sells them, then don't ruin your car or anything. Lastly, you don't really need a diy to install the shifter, but you do need one to get the freaking center console off. which can be found here http://www.7thgencivic.com/modules.p...howpage&pid=53

I was talking about greys upgrade kit and not the bushing kit.

And do I need to get the bushings from Capyoda or can I use the regular bushings till I get it?

You can use the regular bushings, I still have them, but that means that you'll have to take apart your centerconsole and shifter to put them in if you get them at a different time.
