XENON Side skirts
XENON Side skirts
I Bought some xenon side skirts for my 03 lx and I have had them installed for about 3 months and I think they look awsome. I just have a little problem with the mounting. I screwed the ends into the front and rear tire wells which is fine, but they are made of urethane and they are very flexible. along the side of the car they are stuck on with 3M adhesive double sided tape but they just keep comming loose and starting to droop. I have re-installed them 2 times now and I was wondering if there is any better way to keep them in place with out damaging the body of my car in any way..
Does any one else have problems with these side skirts or any side skirts for that matter.. is fiberglass a better option..
I really dont want to trash these be cause they are the best looking side skirts ever and I already painted them to match my ride!
Help me!

did you use the same tape over and over even after the ss come loose? I would suggest getting a new piece of tape and then heat it up and clean the car before attaching it. But screw them in is the most secure, but some ppl don't like drilling things in the car.

my car is so low there is no way I could get under there to take a pic, from what I remember there was a lip on the side skirt, and the bracket had like a piece that lined up with that lip. I would mess around with those brackets to make sure they are holding it up properly....

you said you've got screws already holding part of the skirts in place? maybe find something to line those screws up to where it touches the body.... use some kind of rubber ring or washer. maybe that will keep it from rubbing and you're be able to screw it tighter from time to time.
is this helping? maybe not? sorry then

I am trying to put my Tsunami side skirts on right now and they seem to be about 1/8 inch too short. Has anyone ran into any problems like this? Should I just shave the skirts or what?
