Pulling out timing?
I would love to know if there is any way to retard the timing.
Is there any way of doing it manually? Or is there some product i would have to buy?

Most likely have to do something with the ECU.
The ignition system for D17s are direct (no distributor) and the only thing I have seen is plasma boosters that affect ignition (no MSD products as I know of)

i was thinking that the MSD boost retards might work with our ignition system, but i would need 1 for every coil. I dont have $1000 for boost retards, nor the space in the engine bay.

Aem's plug and play ECU no I do not have it because $1500 is a little out of my budget. But they list it on there web site. It plug between the sensor and the stock ecu (IT DO NOT REPLACE IT) and changes the signal.

Buy the Jet ECU from JCWsportcompact. They have it for $229 and can reprogram your ignition timing, adjust your rev limiter and adjust fuel curves. obviously you don't need the fuel adjustment but hey 229 for ignition adjustment isn't too bad. Call em up to make sure you know what your options are.
