Rep Power: 0 Any modded hybrids?
I know they are only new, but have you seen anyone mod the hybrid yet?
It would be interesting to see if it could be done, let alone done economically.

I doubt anyone wants to risk their warranty by really modifying it.
I havent seen one anyway, but it would be interesting to see what sort of power figures they could put out
I cant see how it would cost too much more than modding a "normal" car.

What would you do to it? Hook it up to a 9 volt?
I don't think Hybrids really lend themselves to tricking up right now. They are limited in distribution and appeal. Those likely to buy them are probably 180 degrees away from those who are most likely to trick out their cars.

Some people like to modify different cars, not everyone wants a regular car to be like everyone else.
Being one of the first to modify the hybrid would be groundbreaking, and some people are into that sort of thing.
I would be if i had the money...

I think it was greddy or something, i cant remember but there was a topic about it in an issue of Turbo magazine. It was pretty interesting to see what and how they modded it, wish i could find it and reread it. Another company took a honda hybrid shell, drapped it over a tube frame and a built to all hell b18c5 with a huge turbo, i dont remember the times but they wer sub 9second. That doesnt even count as a hybrid though, but id be pretty funny to see a hybrid line up and wax a 2k3 cobra

Rep Power: 0 im pretty sure i read somewhere that they turboed a toyota prius and it made like 200 hp and 400 plus lb-ft of torque at the wheels compared to stock that generates 76 hp and 82 ft-lb of torque at the flywheel.

I know people have added bits and pieces to the hybrid, but is there an actual kit people can buy yet?
Im assuming not as there would not be alot of demand for it.

I guess it would mess up the warranty if you modified it, but I'm sure it won;t be too long before people start doing this. After all, part of the fun of owning a civic is that you can modify it in so many ways.

Thats why 99% of people wont touch a brand new car straight away.
