i have a 91 CRX si and am wondering would it be better to just take out the engine and rebuild it or just buy another engine. The engine needs new piston rings that is the only problem i know of so i was thinking of just redoing the rings and installing better pistons and while doing that taking the head and having it completely overhauld. But if i should get a new engine i was thinking of getting a jdm B16 and if so will that bolt up to my stock si transmission

you're looking at a lot more money to get a new engine... i would just rebuild yours w/ higher compresson forged pistons and rods and have the head re-done and maybe get a new intake manifold w/ cai and exhaust w/ header... you'll have plenty of power out of that crx if you just do that

i am now thinking of doing the mini me swap and am wondering what all i should have done to the head before i install it. I plan to go get one from pullapart and take it straigt to a mechanic friend of mine.

Dude.. Just get an LS motor for your car. An LS should break you into mid 14's man. They're not that expensive either.
