Step 1. Take out Honda Engine

Step 2. Insert LS6 Engine

You won't need anything else after that.

I kid I kid

Most bang for your buck is intake(don't get the cold air that goes by your tire), full exaust and a dyno tune. That all is easy and should give it a bit more pep. That's about all I would invest into an Honda engine. You could get fully adjustable shocks and good tires.

Intake will barely even do anything. It might give you 3-4 whp. But if you want to get a short ram intake go with AEM of course. Then it would be header/exhaust mods then maybe k-pro. But after all that you will not gain that much. You might be like 130 or 140 whp.

But you need to know what are your plans. If you want to go big and make alot of power then you will need to swap to make the big power. But if you want to keep your motor and if you ever want to turbo to make that power go ahead but you will never reach very high.

Agreed, the stock engine will not take alot of HP. Chipping/Dyno tuning is a good option for basically stock engines. And if you wanted to boost your engine internals would not take much and you would have to mess with alot of other things to get it to work. Basically boost=money.

Well this is just my first car. I dont want to go too crazy becuase i plan on getting another car later on. I just want to do some things to get myself used to the engine and at the same time make it look cool and run well!

Re: 2005 civic special edition - upgrades???

stick with small mods that you can easily take off later when you sell the car. like intake, some interior stuff maybe speakers, lights, etc. check www.handaaccessories.com if you are into oem honda add-ons. they have the cheapest prices and carry almost everything available.

I hear ya, If you dont want to go to big then maybe intake, header, exhaust. This would give you a little. But I would rather start off with exterior/interior mods first like a nice pair of coilovers, rims, maybe a lip kit. Some small things like that then some interior stuff to.
