i think you already have the best engine? if its a usa SI and not canadian. those things can handle anything just throw on a supercharger and its instant 200+whp

The motor you have now is already good for you. The b16a2 is a very powerful motor and can hold alot and dish alot. The hp is great for a 1.6l but the trq that it has could be better but all around they are very great motor to mod. But if you want a better motor than you b16a2 then the next thing to do is swap to a k series.

b16a2 is a great engine, you should keep it for sure. build it up, supercharge, or turbo. $2500 for just a supercharger and you get close to 200whp.

Na man the b16a2 is a pretty built engine already really. I use you have a 99 si myself and it was pretty quick for stock. I didnt really mod it but I loved it. They are great cars. The b16a2 is the second best b series out there really the first are the b18c and b18c1, the ITR and GSR motors.
