Xentec Conversion Kit?

Alrighty so Im helping my younger brother get started on his civic like me he has a 97 civic ex and hes working on a retrofit, he's limited on his cash flow he's only 16, so he bought a xentec conversion kit. HOW IN THE HELL IS THE BEST WAY TO WIRE THESE THINGS!?!?! I was thinking a relay, something like a bosch relay but i dont have the slightest clue to go about it! any ideas are appreciated!

throw it in the trash. but if you must use it, build a relay harness. this is for 01-03 civic so the wire colors will prolly be different at the H4 plug, but gives you an idea.

Re: Xentec Conversion Kit?

what you need to do is test the 3 wires on the h4 plug with multimeter. you need to find the one wire that stays hot in both lo and hi beam mode and use that wire as the harness trigger. so turn the lo beam on, test all three wires, then turn the hi beam on and test all three wires again. only one wire will be hot in both modes, and thats the one you want. you only need to tap the wire to the harness on one side, usually passenger side is the best because it is near the battery where all the wiring is anyway.
