Question What do I do to fix this...?

Hey guys I'm new to doing work on my car under the hood the most I've done is change the oil in it. Now I just got some new Rims and Tires on my car they are 18's and have low profile tires on them. Now every time that i hit a bump in the road or someone is in the back seat, the rear passenger side wheel hits that fender. Now I know that i have to lift the car but the thing is i don't know how to or if that is the right thing to do. So anyone who has had this problem or knows how to solve it please help me out. Thanks.

alot of people get the fenders rolled. you can do it yourself, but its tricky and best to leave it to a shop that knows the technique. basically you get rid of the metal lip inside that bangs the tire. there is a special tool they use, altho ive heard of people using a dremel to cut the metal. it wont look good tho if youve never done it before.

Just to clarify, no suspension work, not lowered right? How old is your car, maybe you need new struts. Also, I feel 18's are too large for civic, they fit but for everyday use too big, 35 or 30 inch profile not enough meat. Another thing did you get the appro rims and tire size for the civic? it is a plus 3 I believe, I know 16 is 205 45 16,17 is 205 40 17 and 18 I can not remember something like 205 35 (or 30) 18
