I have a quick question. I have a 91 civic hatch Si and I just put an HID conversion (9006 8k's) in, and my left HID's ballast continue to fry somehow. I've put three different ballasts in and they all don't last more then 2 or 3 hours. When I take them out after I realized they cooked, they are super hot, but so was my right ballast and it is having no problems. What would cause this? Headlights should automatically be grounded through the chassis, correct? I am running the HIDs as low-beams, and I was not running them with my high beams on at all.

are you using a separate upgrade relay harness with at least 14 gauge wire? usually the factory headlight harness is too weak to give the ballast power. so usually the ballast will try and pull as much as it can and run underpowered until it dies, or fries your wiring.
