so ya i bought a 96 civic the other day and ya having problems with the antenna not working . so i decided to try to get a cassete adapter and it turns out the cassete goes in, and then few seconds later just comes back out. what is my best bet? should i just take the adapter and car to the dealer and see what they say? i am hoping its a cheap fix

EDIT: It plays regular Cassetes just not the adapter cassete :S

Why don't u get a new alpine deck. Its prety cheap. Like 100 or so.

yea go for a deck, itll be worth it in the long run, who wants a cassette player anymore lol

The dealer will probably end up charging you more than it's worth to fix a cassette player. Go with the above advice and get a new deck.

thanks guys, also a main concern, is that the antenna doesnt work, i tried a universal replacement, but its not combatible because its on the sdie like this one:

so ya i guess ill go to the dealer and see what they have to say, will the new deck still work if i get one with a aux input and use my mp3 player? that way i cood use the mp3's radio instead of the car radio which isnt working good cause of the antenna (its broken)
