well, i didn't get into an accident. my friend did. she has a 4 dr 8th gen civic. yesterday someone hit her front bumper. it's not cracked or dented but paint chipped in two places where the other car hit hers (front driver's side bumper). the paint chipped size are about a size of a quarter. should she call her insurance or just go to a bodyshop to repaint her bumper? how much is it usually to repaint the front bumper? thanks in advance.

if its hit and run, dont go through insurance. chances are it will cost less than deductible. if there is no bumper damage, just repainting shouldnt cost more than $100-200 max. if you need new bumper and paint, would be around 500 or little less.

oh ok. thanks guys. so she should be expecting about $200 to repaint her front bumper. it wasn't a hit and run. the driver was about to leave, but there was a witness who saw everything and waited for her to come out. so the driver also waited.
