i need advice about swapping a D17

heres the thing i love the D17 economy and thats all i want it for my car will eventually be given to my sister down the road. But heres my question is it possible to swap a D17 into a older civic please dont make fun of me ive tried looking for the answer but i cant find anything. thanks

That's a good question, which I don't know the answer to. To be honest I'm not sure if anyone has ever tried anything like that really. I wouldn't think it would be THAT had to swap it into the 6th gen, because they've got the d16, who knows. Maybe a company like Hasport or a company whom works with engine swaps on a regular basis could tell you.

It would fit in for sure. I had a 92 Honda Civic EX before my 7thgen and the engine bay was considerably larger in both length and width so it should drop in there. As for other terms of being compatable I have no idea.

like ^ said. most likely it would fit, but as to compatability, i dunno. why would you want to though? a y8 should get pretty close gas mileage....and they came stock so....

yea a d16y8 will be pretty much the same....
