XTD Stage 2 clutch.. Gift to me *pics*
So ups came and I got a nice little gift! I saw some DIY on this and I dont get it. It seems to be alot of work. apparently you have to remove the subframe is that right?
Then I read that there is enough room to move if out of the way without removing that. Is that true? I mean if i move it out would I be able to see if I align the clutch right?
hmm let me know!

Woo hoo I just need someone to help me install it =P

You can do it by just unbolting the tranny and using some rope to hold it to the side. Subframe can stay where it is

Certainly. I've done it with an alignment tool, with a socket, and even by eye once. You'll be fine.

Yup, that's the only hard part because you have to have enough room to get a socket in there. You'll also need to rotate the crank pulley to tighten each bolt on the pressure plate.

it is...especially if you get bolts on the flywheel that dont want to come off and strip out....yeah it sucks. but i have done it many of times without droppin the frame. just be careful not to bend any of that stuff on top of the tranny...been there too
do you have anything done to the car? I had that clutch at one point...i took it off...makes traffic in DC a nightmare. also my tranny went pretty soon afterwards too...not to rain on your parade or anything

Well normally you would upgrade your clutch after you upgraded other components of your car that add horsepower and torque. The stock clutch is light and easy to deal with... but when you get into a stage 2 clutch you'll find it is much stiffer and gives less we'll say room for error, so you can see that being a pain when your in stop and go traffic.

it catches harder so when it catches it will put more strain on the tranny components

The clutch engage/disengage point is dramatically altered. Right now you have about 4 inches of play before you engage your clutch. I have about 2.
