so i have an error code from the ecu saying that my Primary oxygen sensor heater and my LAF - lean air fuel sensor are both out. i know the LAF sensor is just my o2 sensor but can anyone tell me what the primary o2 sensor heater is and does?

primary o2 sensor is a heated sensor, just replace it, codes will go away

dude the o2 sensor for my car costs like 700 bucks or i found it online cheapest for like 200. it has a 5 wire LAF senosr so it can run leaner for better MPG

What the hell 700 for an O2 sensor are you sure you know what you are looking for, they should only be like 70 from like napa or some place like that. What year civic do you have? i kow 7thgen and older do not use a 5 wire, they are all 4 wire if they are OBD2 (96 and newer) and if you have OBD1 (95 and older) like in an older civic they are less than that.

it is a 92 civic vx
and trust me i have called around and it is cause it is the 1.5l vtec-e engine
so it is a wide band o2 sensor and i cant get a different one cause it wont work with my car
