Head Gasket?

Does anyone know the symptoms of a blown head gasket. I have a 96 civic.

Re: Head Gasket?

yea, milky, white oil is a possibility, among other things, like white smoke from teh tailpipe, all u have to do is run a compression test on each cylinder, if u lose compression, its ur headgasket, and, im not gonna tell u how either, take it to a mechanic, if u think it is, change it

Re: Head Gasket?

look under your oil cap and pull your dipstick. If you see a milky white residue its blown. Also there are tests a mechanic can do like a chemical test. Also look for extra amounts of coolant in your overflow.

Has the car overheated lately???
