New 2008 Civic runs on H2
Hello,
does anyone know anything about this new engine?
Ok, so where do you get the free Hydrogen, from natural gas? If so, wouldn't it be as expensive as regular gasoline?
Any updates on the metal-hydrides used by Mercedez-Benz to run their H2 vehicles. Is this the storage used on the new Civic?
When all is said and done, would I want to/ or be able to afford to buy one?
What do you all think?
peace,
michel

its only available in california, and gas is really expensive for now, lease is 600 a month, its out, but i wouldnt count on it for a while... hydrogen is still not very efficient

if your thinkin of buyin a hybrid car dont bother... totally not worth it.. just take wutever car u have and tune it to run on straight alcohol.. you will get more powet and better gas mileage and cleaner emissions.. every one needs to stop relying on hybrids cuz when we run outta gas.. hybrids will be useless.. im building and tuning a b18c1 to run on straight alcohol.. these quick fixes are not the answer.. and the last time someone tried to use hydrogen it blew up.. remeber the hindenburgh.. crash landed in jersey... they have video u can watch.. i just dont want somethin that unstable in my gas tank.. and i dont think the civic has the same system as the H2.. as far as i know its just an electric motor assisting a gas engine.. hope that helps man :-)
