Re: Advice please for custom exhaust line
I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I was looking for a decent exhaust system.
Good price, you still get to keep the cat (and be legal and pass emissions), Arospeed makes nice mufflers. Looks like it's from an EX so keep that in mind. You'll have to lengthen your secondary O2 sensor wires to reach past the cat, but other than that, it looks good.

looks good to me. welds could be cleaner, but they don't look like they'd leak.
it does look like it would fit an ex, but there are no hangers on the rear section. you'll have to get some welded on.

that's good cuz I got an EX.
you guys think that it will actually give me some hp gain??
I kno it's not gonna be a lot but still....
cuz some say if you get a bad one you will lose some hp apparently...

Re: Advice please for custom exhaust line
Basically the same thing. The main thing you're getting here is a good downpipe since you're dumping the stocker. You won't lose HP, you may lose a little low-end torque but will gain more top-end HP. Most catback systems out there keep the stock downpipe which is still the 1.75" soda straw inside a 2-1/4" pipe. It looks bigger but it's not. Kind of like hip-hop artists who wear big clothes or pufferfish - false advertisement. If you've got the cash, I'd buy it.

haha thanks speedfoos your example of hip hop artists is so funny...
so custom is probably better than the ones out there in market since you get a good downpipe?? damn im a noob!!!!!

i hate to disappoint you, but RSR exhausts do not come with resonators.

Re: Advice please for custom exhaust line
yeah that so called rsr midsection does not exist. as you can see in my pic, the midpipe is just a piece of pipe from the cat to the muffler.
that setup looks like a hi flow cat welded to a stock midpipe with resonator, and some generic ebay muffler. whole setup not worth more than 150-200

arospeed muffer, prolly was got on ebay for like 60 bucks, but it says magnaflow cat, which you can get on summit pretty cheap. stock resonator plus welding...gotta agree with you there gearbox...150 bucks for parts and labor.

Here is the system i made for my son. think it was $75 megan muffler, and like $50 in pipe and mandrel bends. Add a cat if needed and i would bet cheaper and better than that system you linked.
