Hey Guys

I just bought an 02 DX civic 4 door. I wanted to know how hard it is to change the speakers? Also what wattage is good considering im keepipng the stock deck?

havent touched the 2002 Civic but...
a few ideas before running out to the stereo shoppe! lol

OEM headunits only put out low Watts to the speakers, so...
if you install a nice set of speakers (lets just say we had 6.5" 2-ways)
the distortion alone would kill the new speakers in no time flat.
These higher wattage speakers need the extra power to run properly.
So if you upgrade this i suggest even buying the cheapest amplifier
to run them properly.

You can kill a speaker/sub faster underpowering it then slightly overpowering it.

i noticed a MASSIVE difference in upgrading to my Alpine 9883. It has 200 watts and was $200. If you want more, go ahead and amp your stock speakers.

i just checked, and the 6x9's in the back of my 02 run at 45W maxx and 15W continous.
