have you heard of this?
i dont know if this is the right post for this area but, last week i took my civic to honda dealership for maintenance. They told me that I couldnt get my air pressure checked because it had green caps on from my tires. Then they told me that I had to go to Costo for air pressure check because it had costco green caps. Is this true? Should i get black caps for my tires and Honda wouldnt even notice? so i took it to costco anyway, but honda still shouldve done it when the car was there is my complaint or am i wrong?

Re: have you heard of this?
Try using LP this is what they use in the cans of fix a flat. Also since it is a liquid if you get a flat it will vaporize and keep the tire inflated longer. Just a thought......Also if you convert your VIC to run on LP then you will never have to stop to air up a tire again.

it's nitrogen, and it helps to keep your pressure from fluctuating from hot/cold temperatures.
At least I'm pretty sure it's nitrogen.. It's whatever the hell they use to fill up the tires on those cars that only make left turns. Oh yea, nascar.

yes it's nitrogen ( i work for costco and have the green caps as well )
and the fix a flat is only to help get you to a gas station/tire shop its not ment to stay in your tires all the time... if you have two of three piece rims it will eat the seals over time

I just wanted to see if he would try to put freakin Propane in his tires. Better yet, go to Honda and ask for a Propane conversion kit for the civic. That would be great.
