03 civic headlight problems

Hi everyone,

I just noticed lately that whenever i turn on my headlights there is a delay in them going on, and sometimes they dont i have to try a few times before they do. This is not happening all the time but often. I checked all the fuses and they look fine.

any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Both high and low beams ??

Try rotating the switch slightly back and forth next time they show problems. See if they flash or come back one while moving switch on/off/on/off.

Re: 03 civic headlight problems

The headlight relay is in the under-hood fuse box. (the fuse box lid will show location or relay but may only have picture) Look at the #s marked on the headlight relay and of the other relays located in the box find one that matches it, Mark the location of the 2 with a Sharpie marker, Then swap the 2 relays locations and see if the problem goes away. Be sure to keep track of which relay was the headlight relay so you can replace it. Many of the relays in my 05 are the same. This is a no cost troubleshooting method.

If you need the wiring info PM with E-Mail address and I can send it.
