Water goes into My INTAKE !!!!!! ZOmg
Water goes into My INTAKE !!!!!! ZOmg
Hey everyone i just wanted to know if any of you can help solve a huge problem of mine. I got into an accident about a month ago, I ripped the whole front end off. Now when i drive around in the rain i sometimes get water in my intake( everytime it happens i want to cry ;( ) I kno this is VERY bad for your car and it could eventually lead my engine to hydrolock. I drive n 04 civic and i have a AEM v2 intake system, i mounted everything correctly, and for the time being i put my stock intake stuff back on. Any suggestions on what the problem is ?Couldnt figure out where i should post this thread so feel free to move or whatnot.

yea the car was restored to its orginal state and i had to replace the air filter because it was smashed other than that it's fine. But i did notice i can see the floor of my garage...is there supposed to be an undercover for the car or anything?

Yeah, there's a splash shield type thing on the front passenger corner. Did you fix it yourself, or have a body shop do it?? If someone else did it, take it back to them.

there is suppose to be a spashshield under your car which protects the tranny and the bottom of the motor, if can also be coming from your fender lining.

You could always call the insurance company that paid for the repair, and see what they have to say about having paid a shop to half-*** the repair.
If you wanna DIY, look at the diagrams on majestichonda and see what's missing.
