direct ignition system

does it matter which ignition cap goes over which plug? The wires of course stay the same, but does the cap placement matter? I notice some of them have numbers. thanks.

we had a guy come by our shop asking the same problem a few months back. saying it took longer to start than usual. We pointed out a few possible thing that it could be thats directly related to a starting procedure

-injectors
-sparkplugs
-fuel pump
-coil packs
-starter
-battery

Well he left and came back a week later and chaged out everything we suggested except the starter. reason we say starter because over time it tends to wear down and doesnt crank as much as a brand new one. He picked up a brand new starter and that did the trick for our customer.

Might not be the same situation ur in but its just a suggestion to help you going
