Ingalls torque dampener?
SubscribeSo i installed it today and yeah idk about this thing. My car vibrates badly on idle, and when releasing the clutch to accelerate is shakes violenty and sounds like my engine is falling apart. Is this normal?
eww....
help did u fck up the install or something or is this just how it is? when releasing the clutch in first the the whole car violenty shakes, i feel a shake in the pedals, and everything. Is it supposed to be this bad? I have it set on the softest setting (15mm).
MINE SHAKES AT IDLE . BUT THAT IS TO BE EXPECTED .MOTOR IS MOVING AND VIBRATION THE STRUT TOWER AND THEN RESINATES THE VIBRATION TO THE WHOLE CAR. THE CAR SHOULD NOT SHAKE WHEN RELEASING THE CLUTCH. THERE WILL BE LESS MOVEMENT IN THE MOTOR SO THE ACCEL WILL BE MORE RESPONSIVE. BUT SHOULD NOT SHAKE CK YOUR INSTALL AND MAKE SURE YOU O-RINGS ARE INSTALLED ON THE CORRECT SIDE AND ALL THE BOLTS ARE TIGHTENED PROPERLY. GOOD LUCK.
I BELEIVE THERE IS A THREAD OF A STEP BY STEP COLOR INSTALL JUST SEARCH FOR IT UNDER DIY.

It's all done correct and legit. Shakes a little on idle now, but still vibrates like crazy when releasing and accelerating. I have a stage 1 clutch? Could this be why? it just feels very rough when releasing and accelerating anywhere below 1500 rpm...
wtf did i do wrong? or is this how it works?

I'd say its normal. Just raise the rpm when you release the clutch. The chassis is supposed to absorb more of the engine vibration. You may want to consider some motor mount inserts to even out the stiffness and balance out the vibration through the car.
i have the energy engine mount inserts and Ingalls stiffy installed.
But I don’t have the "crazy" vibration. Its is rough but nothing like your describing...

That's probably why. He probably doesn't have inserts. I'm sure that in your car you let the clutch out at a higher rpm, whereas if you let it out at a lower rpm, it would vibrate a whole lot more. It does depend alot on the clutch too.
you can also add a piece of dynamat under the torque damper mounting plate on the strut tower. im too lazy to take everything apart and try, but mine doesnt vibrate badly enough for me to care. i have auto trans tho.
Post a pic of how you installed it. If you installed it backward, it will vibrate alot more. Trust me, I installed it wrong the first time and I was Ingalls 7thgen tester for the product.
